Even a remanufactured OE part is likely better than any of the low end parts. With how bad the new parts have been getting these days I'll go to a salvage yard before I use some of them. Took me three new alternators before I found one that actually worked. Even then it failed in 2 months. Went and got a used one from a yard and installed it, working as it should without any issues. Talk to any shop and you will hear the same thing. So I try to use new OE first, Reman OE second, used OE third and aftermarket only if I cannot find one in the first three. There are a few exceptions, like the oil cooler and water housings on the pentastars, the aluminum aftermarket units seem to hold up much better than the plastic pieces.

I just wanted to let you know that this job is complete, along with everything else I did to this truck. I have a new radiator, power steering pump, pulley, water pump, serpentine belt, ac belt, coolant reservoir tank, and thermostat. The power steering pump I went with was a $80 one from Amazon. The radiator with trans and oil lines incl was Amazon too. The steering pump wasn't hard at all to get to and to remove the pulley(with the right tool) but when it comes to installing the pulley unto the new pump, I HIGHLY suggest putting grease on the pump shaft and pulley ring. Id also highly recommend using a ball bearing in your installer tool so you can press the pulley on the new pump without it turning on you so much.
