My car right P/S on the dashboard and the steering becomes stiff and sometimes the engine cuts off immediately. But that P/S sign won't stay on the dashboard for long. When it goes off, the steering becomes normal.

Hi,

Does the power steering light only come on when you experience the issue? Also, this vehicle has a traditional power steering system. So, the pump is belt driven. Do you ever hear a squealing or noise from the belt when this happens? Is the power steering fluid full?

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

What I recommend is this. We need to have the can-bus scanned. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires so they can communicate with each other. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link that explains how to do it:

Let me know if this is something you can do or have done.

Take care,

Joe
