Possible blow out of airconditioning line

I started the car and pulled over to dump some trash, got back in and heard a big bang (like a tire blow out) then smoke came out heavy from under hood. I parked it, then went out later and drove to the store without problems. What could have happened?

That's hard to say I couldn'ts we where the smoke was coming from. You engine belt didn't break did it?Something had to make the noise and smoke it's hard to say.I couldn't hear the noise or see the smoke. Does your AC work?

Have you checked to see if any of the AC lines have holes in them or have oil on them?
