I ran my car out of gas and I believe I blew the fuel pump and I was just wondering if u knew if there was a reset for it or if I have to buy a new one

I have same car, and have also ran out of fuel several times.
When trying to restart, 3 things are necessary for success.
1 put minimum, 2 gallons of fuel in tank.
2 car needs to be on level ground.
3 It takes about 1 minute of steady cranking before engine starts.
This procedure has worked for me 7 times over 2 years.
