1996 Pontiac Sunfire stalling

I drove 4 miles other day. Stopped for traffic try to go car started to stall. Waited 20 minuteswas able to drive home. Friend told me to clean out catalatic converter. Drove 15 miles nextday same thing happened at intersection stalled again. Parts store says sounds like control module. Is it and how do I get to it

I think the idle air control module and clean the throttle body
