Car dosent start

1992 sunbird about 106000 2.0 I just went threw a puddle that I think was about a foot deep it staled out midway I got it out of the water and tryed to start it and it dident start it turned over and made some mechanical noice but dident start I let it sit and now it dosent even turn over I have no clue what it could be please help

You should start by removing spark plugs dist cap and rotor clean or replace them.
Check air filter, if wet you have water in the cylinders
disable ignition system, with plugs out crank engine
