Tires and Wheels problem
2008 Pontiac Grand Prix 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive 55000 miles

I have an 08 Pontiac Grand Prix w/ 55000 miles. I have this slight shaking of the steering wheel at any speed over 30 mph. The vibration happens in a repetition on the highway where it shakes, stops, shakes again and so forth. It is more pronounced on the highway when I head into a curve. I have also had it road tested, balanced and aligned at three shops without correcting the problem. The mechanics don't know what it is at this point. Please help me out since I am at a loss on what to do at this point. TH

Assuming they are correct at the shop, it could be the tires.

Remove fronts and put on rear and rear on fronts, to see if it is a tire problem.

We have a Pontiac grand prix 2000, had shaking on the front end at certain speeds too, everyone told us to check wheel balancing, bald tires etc. But it turns out that my husband looked behind the front tire and saw a mess of grease. There was a rubber seal over the wheel arm protecting it from friction. With the grease gone the 3 balls like an elbow were rubbing and falling apart. It took some time but we fixed it ourselves. Bought the part at autozone along with a fork tool to get the ball joint off. Prob saved 500 doing it ourselves. Hope this helps. Good luck
