I have a 2002 Grand Am, the other day I was driving down the road and jumped on the gas and it lunged forward and then there was no power. I pulled over put it in park and turned car off restarted car put it into gear and it drove judt fine. A couple of days later I was going up a hill and the car was very sluggish. Now anytime the car is under power it is very sluggish. My gas millage is also very poor now. What could be the possible problem. I have read some of the posts and I too had experianced the pulsating at about 60-70mph. Could this be a ignition problem. Any help would be great.

Thankl you

Yes this could be an ignition problem. First, when was the last time you had a tune-up? If it's been past 50K miles, have that done first. If the problem persist, then have the coils checked. The coils do eventually go bad. But don't just replace the coils, check them first.

If the coils check out fine, check the fuel filter, pump and regulator.
