Over the past month or so my car has developed a problem when I try to accelerate. The engine will bog down, then increase to normal, then back down, up, and so on for a short time. It does not do this when first starting out, but only when resuming speed after a sharp corner, etc. It really doesn't seem like a transmission problem to me. My best guess at this point is fuel pump. But I've never seen anything like it. Anyone have a clue what it could be?

It could be a few things. Yes, the fuel pump could be the problem. Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, make sure the insides of the catalytic converter isn't plugged or loose blocking exhaust from escaping. Finally, has the check engine light ever come on?

Let me know.
