2000 Pontiac Grand Am clicking noise

I just replace the window regulator on my car and now when I try to start the car it just clicks and sometimes makes an alarm sound when I put the key in the ignition. I tried disconnecting the new regulator but the car still wont start. Do you think the two are related or just coincience?

Your battery is probably dead from the open door when changing the regulator. Get back to me after you jump start it.

Sorry, didnt even think about that. My dad jumped my car and it is running fine.
