I am having a problem with the blinker. Noise? In my car the blinkers all work just fine and no lights blink to the noise thank god but after I use the blinker it continues to make the noise all crazy like and off beat and usually doesn't stop until I turn the car off, ! HELP ME!

To anyone with "clicking" blinkers on their Grand am, I fixed my 2001 fairly easy once I figured out the problem. The noise is coming from the dash by the hazard but the culprit is the turn signal switch. The contacts seem to arc over time and make contact when they shouldn't. I took the cover below steering wheel off to access the switch. Remove the switch and carefully open it up. I then cleaned the dirt and grease off and lightly sanded the contacts (you can see the arc marks). Or you could buy a new switch! I'm just cheap, aka, on a budget.
