My bonneville was shifting hard after driving 20 mi. I took it to dealer april 17, 21, 23, 24 had the modgulor on powertrain replaced still hard shift, then went in to change TCC solenoid very expensive and time! They test drove it and the lost gears, not fall out just presure. Now they say not any thing they have done. They now are replacing the pump shaft and/or transmission pump I'M PAYING PARTS AND LABOR that was 2 weeks ago still no car.

If it lost all gears after they replaced the TCC solenoid, I would be talking to the service manager. If you bring it in for hard shift adnwhen they are dome it doesnt work at all, they need to work something out with you on parts and labor, especially at 68k

I googled online and found out that it was a Pressure control solenoid. After changing it the problem went away. If the code was P1811 then that is what the problem was. It does not make the service engine light come on but it still shots a code to the computer. I paid $50 for the part and $350 to get it put on because they have to drop the transmission to get to it. GOOD LUCK!
