2002 Pontiac Bonneville Fuel Guage

My fuel gauge, will move around alot. I will go from Empty to Full, or Empty to a quarter and so on. It doesn't seem to do this when the tank is actually full just when its low. Could you tell me why it does this, and how much you think it would cost to repair?

Yea it sounds like you fuel sender in the tank is bad. The unit is in the tank and the fuel tank needs to be dropped to replace it. If you deside to replace it I would recommend buying the sending unit with a fuel pump as it isn't much more and if the parts store offers a delfi unit buy that one as it will be original equipment. Hope this helps.
