I need help with my car the engine keeps cutting off and the check gage comes on how do I fix this what is wrong

If the check engine light comes on, there is a trouble code stored in the computer. Take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan the computer. Most will do it for free, and then you will know what direction to go in.
