is there any way I can just disconnect the security system on a 1992 bonneville. It sometimes starts and sometimes I have to wait a few minutes. How can I just disconnect the whole thing?

It can't be disconnected because looks for a signal from the system to determine if the correct key is being used. I hate to say it, but a dealer is the only place I know of that has the proper equipment to test the system to see where the problem is coming from.
