Outside temperature was sixteen degrees. I went to crank my vehicle and it sounded like ice dislodged, waited a few minutes, and it started over heating. In the summer I had a new radiator installed and they only put regular water back in it. I have drained the water installed antifreeze and a new thermostat, but it is still overheating. The fan is coming on fine and I do not see anything leaking. What else could it be? Never had an issue on overheating until now! Thanks

Check the mix of coolant, like how good it is to temperature should be at least -20F it may have a frozen radiator. If it does take to a garage and put electric fan powered heater in front to try to melt it to save it. If lucky it works. Then use a a 50/50 mix of antifreeze after everything has been drained out of system. Also, check thermostat as it may be bad and not opening.
