I had a pipe leak in the rubber to the radiator.
It got fixed.
Recently I had a big oil leak.
The mechanic had to handle the cylinder head, put a new radiator in.
When the car got hot, 1 mile it poured out coolant.
They replaced the radiator cap and fixed it yesterday.
Today after about 5 KM. Steam came out from under the bonnet. Coolant all over.
I had to get it back by tow truck to the mechanic.
What causes this.
Thank you, please answer.

Hello,

Did the engine over heat before getting steam from under hood/bonnet?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/symptoms-of-an-overheating-engine

When an engine over heats it can blow out the radiator or any other coolant hose due to excessive pressure. It can also vent coolant out of the radiator cap, when the pressure exceeds the limit of the cap.

Were you able to see where the coolant was coming out of?

Please let me know what you are experiencing.
Thank you.

I said to the Mechanic, Google said it is the thermostat. The Mechanic said, " Who is Google". They again changed the radiator cap, then the water pump. Eventually they changed the thermostat. Then it worked.
