Overheating

My truck ran hot one day and I stopped on road. Check engine light came on also. It said temperature sensor on code. I replaced it and thermostat. Still ran hot. I then replaced water pump and still ran hot. I then replaced serpentine belt cause it was bad and personally flushed radiator. Did good for about a week and got hot again. I went and got it professionally flushed. Though that fixed it but week later ran hot again. It does it on the hwy. Not in town. Could it be the fan clutch?

Yes, it could but the main reason for the fan clutch is air flow at idle.

The code for the temperature sensor was an information code. It was supposed to warn you of overheating. It is not the cause it is a result of overheating.

The one thing I am concerned about is the head gasket. When it overheats the gasket could fail leaking super heated gases into the cooling system and that will cause overheating.

I would have a leak down test done on the cylinders to be sure this is not the issue.
