Engine Performance problem
1992 Oldsmobile Toronado 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a bad fuel pump. I've repaired one before, I didn't like the job.
I was wondering could I cut a hole in the metal above the gas tank to replace the gas pump. I have tool called a roto zip that cuts thru metal like butter.

First of all thank you very much for your donation. Cut a hole in your gas no way you should you ever do that you could blow yourself up burn yourself. Please don't even consider that idea again.I know replacing fuel pump's that are in the gas tank aren't fun especially when you don't have a lift been there done that. But cutting a hole in the gas tank isn't even an option.

I didn't read the question right sorry about that but I wouldn't even try cutting the metal above the tank there could be gas fume's escaping that you don't know about or you could cut a gas line or puncture the gas tank. Then you would risk a explosion or fire not worth your safety or people around you.
