Turn signal / 4way keeps clicking

Turn signal / emergency flasher unit keeps clicking.
I installed a new one but still keeps clicking. When I use turn signals or emergency flashers they work fine.
2002 Olds Alero no aftermarket alarm I have changed signal relay. Could it be multi switch in steering wheel.

Make, model and year please. Does it have an aftermarket alarm that is wired to the lights? Might be a bad hazard switch.

Could be, I have seen more problems with the "clockspring" than anything. It is the contact plate between the steering wheel and the column
