When the car comes to a quick stop it stalls plenty of gas in it. What could cause this?

It sounds like the idle air control valve is faulty. Easy fix though. Just have it tested and maybe cleaned and you should be ok. Also I havent' heard too many people ever mention anything about having a throttle body service. That of course is the cleaning of the throttle plate and body(upper air intake) carbon is a killer for your car and it has to be cleaned often. Your idle air control valve is what keeps air coming into the engine when the throttle plate is closed. If it doesent work, well your not gonna get any air when you come to a stop. Thus causing it to suffocate. Remember an engine needs four crucial items to run: spark, fuel, air, and compression.
