Engine Performance problem
2001 Oldsmobile Alero 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

This car came to us with intermittent starting problem. It failed to start while in our possession, we tested for fuel pressure there was none so we installed a bosch fuel pump and a new fuel pump relay this seemed to fix the problem. Three days later the problem has returned.

Is it 0 fuel pressure or is it low? First mistake was installing an aftermarket pump, cant tell you how many I have had to change back out for poor performance. CAn you hear the pump running at all? If not need to seee if the relay is powering it up, check for power at the pump (gray wire). If powered, then the pump is bad. If not go to relay. Should have power AT 87, ground at 86, 85 is th etrigger from the PCM to turn the pump on (power with key on/cranking), then 30 is to the pump.
