I used that aftermarket intake for about 3 years towing and everything without a single problem. And only after the heads were removed and reinstalled did the oil started pouring out of the tube that unites the valve cover to the intake tube. I know all this parts worked perfectly until the head removal, I towed my travel trailer and my boat regularly and never lost a drop of oil, now can't even drive around town for 15 minutes without oil dripping out of the intake.

Hello BBOYLILROB,

Thanks for the video.

Looks like at idle you have around 5-6 psi which is about 10 inHg. Pretty low. Seems to fluctuate a lot too but harder to tell with digital.

With the amount of oil, you're burning I wouldn't be surprised if the MAP Sensor is dirty. If it is, it can be giving us a false reading.

If you can carefully pop it out, make sure it isn't dirty or clogged. If so, it should be cleaned to make sure we are getting an accurate reading.

Then if you could do the same test with the same data pulled up. Keep at idle for 15 secs and then 2500 for 10-15 secs. I want to see if it is fluctuating, maybe see if you can use a graph or analog view for the MAP. If not the digital will work.

Make sure to clean only with electrical cleaner, I added a picture of what I use, and disconnect from vehicle. Make sure it's completely dry before plugging back in.

Cleaning instructions here if needed:
https://knowhow.napaonline.com/guide-map-sensor-cleaning/

Also, how many feet above sea level are you at? Vacuum should decrease 1 inHg for every 1000 ft of elevation. You can go to https://whatismyelevation.com/ and put in your zip code and it will give you a number.

Thank you,
Brendon

I'm at elevation 4500ft. West Jordan Utah. I'm taking off to Vegas for the week and I'll try to get more information when I get back. Probably end of the week.

Good morning, BBOYLILROB,

Oh, nice I love Utah. Beautiful country there.

But, sounds good, when you get back, let me know and we will continue on.

To get the vacuum reading I am seeing, you would have to be around 8,000 ft. Give or take.

But the sensor could be dirty. At 4,500 ft I would expect more like 14-18 at idle. Plus being a stock motor, it is generally more restricted so we would expect more vacuum. 10 inHg doesn't seem right.

But have a safe trip and I will talk to you when you get back and we will do some more testing.

Thank you,
Brendon
