2003 F150 4.6l V8 - How many and where are the O2 sensor located. If my engine light came on do I need to change both of them? I got codes 0171 & 0174 when it was tested.

No, that is not bad sensors causing that problem. It is your engine running too lean for some reason and that's what you need to find. Look at fuel pressure, vacuum leaks, MAF and other things that effect fuel pressure.

Check engine light came on after installing a new upper intake manifold new gaskets etc. Scan code said burning lean at bank one. My guess is the oxygen sensors need to be replaced so how many sensors are their and where are they located? I am thinking it is four. Two upper and two lower and I would like to replace all 4! How can I order the parts for my truck. Thanks!

There are four, but re-scan as it should say which one it is probably the one before converter though. Make sure not air or vacuum leaks though as the manifold may still be leaking vacuum.

Especially as the intake was just replaced and then the light came on. I have seen new ones out of the box that were warped enough they did not seal.

I got the P0141 code so I changed out the Bank 1, Sensor 2 O2 sensor. After about 30 minutes of drive time, the check engine light came on with the same P0141 code. Got another O2 sensor and changed it out withthe same result. Disconnected the battery both times prior to chaging out the sensor as instructed by the auto parts dealer. Is there something else that can cause the P0141 code that I should check?

A code P0141 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

"Â open or short to ground in the wiring harness
"Â O2 heater circuit wiring high resistance
"Â O2 heater element resistance is high
"Â Internal short or open in the heater element

Note: Typically a failed catalytic converter does not cause this code. You're more likely to see a P0420 code for a failed converter.

Possible Solutions
"Â Replace oxygen sensor (cannot repair open or short that occurs internally to sensor)
"Â Repair short or open or high resistance in wiring harness or harness connectors
