Number 2 fuse pops?

Hi,

I'm looking at the under-hood fuse box and fuse 2 indicates it's for the heated seats and seat memory. Where is the fuse located and I suspect it is for the 4wd based on what you mentioned. Let me know.

Also, let me know if the fuse fails when you first install it regardless of the ignition key position or if you have to select 4wd for it to fail. One last thing, let me know about the fuse amperage.

Thanks for the update. Is the fuse still failing or have the wiring repairs taken care of that issue? Regardless, I'm glad to hear you found the wiring issue.

You know, one of my best friends has the same vehicle with 60K on it. When it first started, it barely moved, no power at all. Then, after about 10 seconds, it comes to life. He has noticed a hesitation as well, but not too bad.

I checked everything in this vehicle and all components work perfectly. We were ready to replace the PCM because nothing other made sense until I tried one last test.

I performed a compression test and found cylinder 4 nearly 50% lower than the others. It never set a misfire. Finally, I pulled the heads thinking of a head gasket. Instead, the cylinder 4 exhaust valve had a slight bend in it preventing the valve from fully seating. Keep in mind, there was not a sound from the engine indicating this type of issue. I replaced the seated the new valve, put it together, and it runs perfectly. I never would have expected this type of issue.

Let me know what you are dealing with and let's see if between the two of us we can figure it out. If there are any diagnostic trouble codes, let me know what they are.

Hi,

Let me know if that eliminates the fuse issue. As far as a compression test, you can do it at home. All you need is a compression gauge. Most parts stores will lend one to you.

Next, I went to a different manual and found the same information for fuse 2. See attached pic. That is the fuse box at the end of the dash, correct?

As far as the compression is concerned, it isn't hard to do. I'm interested in knowing what is found. I attached the compression information below. See pic 2
