Car will crank and flutter but not actually start after the car has been running. After 30 minutes or so it will eventually start. Any ideas?

Hello,

This could be a problem with your vehicle's Crankshaft Position Sensor[CKP] starting to fail. When a CKP fails it usually will happen when it gets heated up because the internal coils that it utilizes expand as they get heated up and will touch and short each other out. When the CKP cools down then it will operate again as the coils shrink back down as they cool. In the diagrams down below I have included a diagram with the location and callouts for all of the Power-train Management Sensors for your vehicle. Here is a link below explaining how to change a CKP:

Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
