When accelerating I hear this noise, it is hard to describe the sound but I am not sure what the noise is but it seems to be coming from the front end of the vehicle. The engine seems to lose power when accelerating while the A/C is running, which may or may not be related since the noise is prevalent regardless of the status of the A/C.

Hello,

First thanks for the video makes my job so much easier. :) I would remove the serpentine belt to see if it makes the same noise. If so the timing chain guides have let go making the noise inside the engine which happens. Here are the repair guides to help you see what it will take to repair the vehicle:

This guide will how you how to remove the belt:

Here are the timing chain and camshaft actuator repair diagrams. Straight six right?

Check out the diagrams (below).

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

Thanks! The issue turned out to be a broken Idler pulley, I will post photos soon. It pretty much fell apart as I unbolted it.
