Hello,
My car makes a knocking noise when accelerating. I have tried STP octane booster, but did not solve the problem.

Have a local mechanic take a look at this as it may be an internal engine problem requiring teardown due to something being seriously wrong. Make sure you oil is full.

Hello.
Take a compression test on the engine, these are the results:
Cilinder 1: 220 psi
Cilinder 2: 216 psi
Cilinder 3: 220 psi
Cilinder 4: 220 psi
The nominal pressure for this motor (5A-FE) according to the workshop manual is 14, 0 kg / cm2=200 psi And the minimum of 10, 0 kg= 142 psi.
Could this 20 psi difference cause the spark knock?

Not really compression numbers are good but timing cold be advanced to far as I dont' know where it is sitting whether it is where it's supposed to be or not. Also has anything been done to pistons like putting higher compression pistons in or shaving the head more than.030" as that can cause it to especially if you are running lower octane fuel.
