No start

Two questions
1. Pictures of location of crank position sensor?

2. The car will not start. Put new distributor, wires, plugs, and engine is in time car still will not start. It backfires, now I am getting no fire at all. Please help.

Hello and welcome.

Yes the crankshaft angle sensor will make the engine not start, Here are some guides and a diagram (Below) of the problem you need to fix.

There are two different locations depending on the emission classification.

Thank you for all the information, we found that the new distributor was not right, the slots that hold it in place are not big enough allow for adjustments so you can line it up correctly. The correct distributor is on its way. We put the old one back on and car started right away but died about 10 seconds later.
