Thanks for reply; Worked long weekend and am trying to test system again today; Have checked Crank sensor several times and do get proper resistance but will try to see if there is signal change while cranking; Previous tech dropped me after first reply so don't know how long you can stay with me, but do appreciate your help. Electrical problem
1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 189000 miles

My '96 Toyota Camry rolls over like a champ but has literally no spark. We've replaced the distributor, ignitor, fuse and relay boxes, relays, fuses, coil, and checked every inch of wiring under the hood by testing it. The crank sensor pulley and computer test out fine. There's fuel coming through but no spark to fire it up.

We've been fiddling with this thing for weeks and still no difference. Please, please, PLEASE someone help me. We're willing to try anything.

Checked Crank sensor connector unplugged from sensor and found no voltage on my digital meter with ignition on or while cranking( I am assuming voltage probably 1-2 volts) It seems I should have something from ecm to sensor? Have not checked same while connected; wires have tight rubber boot at plug. Ray

OK, I was able to back probe crank sensor connector while connected and saw 1.6 volts ac and did seem to fluctuate a bit; Tried same with igniter igt wire at connector and saw.01 to.02 and thought saw.05 1x. Now wondering if ecm not just right, or possibly the used igniter I tried is bad? Thanks, Ray

I've checked both but the wiring harness is golden. Every inch of it. And the distributor is spinning like a champ. This car is beating everything out of me.

Where exactly is it located? I've replaced all the relays under the hood so I'm guessing it's some where else?

Never mind. We found it and it tests well. We even swapped it out with the fan relay because we know it works and there's still no spark.

Computer problem
1996 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 250000 miles

Car stalled at hwy speed, was able to restart 1x with repeated cranking, stalled immediate and am now troubleshooting cold wiithout spark and code 1300; CPS, and pick-up sensor test within range as well as coil; Did try new coil, and 2nd igniter(used) with no result; Power at coil and igniter; Distributor turns freely; Have checked connections and all appear ok. Do have multimeter and test light ; Tested negative side of coil with light while cranking and saw only dim light, no pulse; Have not checked igniter plug for pulse; Pick-up sensor plug has 2 pin connector; Igniter outer wires w, wr I believe are igt and igf signal; Is it possible for me to get a good test for igt signal from plug? And also good test at pick-up plug to confirm voltage? Thanks, Ray

Thanks for prompt reply; I did check voltage at ECM with igniter connector unplugged and all else plugged and got 5V #3 and.6 #20 while cranking. All components under hood are OE and have not been able to check air gap on distr, as I do not have proper guage. Thanks, Ray

Really appreciate your patience and help; Am I checking each circuit by test probing at disconnected ecm connector and to ground with igniter connected and battery disconnected? Feel air gap is within range; Do notice clicking sound while turning by hand but assume this is normal pu sound. Thanks Doc

Thanks for reply, No have not solved, still stumped; Did try rebuilt distr, no action; verified signal from crank sensor, igt voltage is very low? Found ecm online with matching numbers and ordered but was cancelled, apparently not available now. Ray
