No sound from aftermarket radio

My radio worked fine. Then two days ago it completely stopped working! No display no sound. I pulled it out and replaced the fuse the display now comes on it says it is working but I have no sound. I put the factory CD player in and it worked fine. What could be wrong?

Sounds like the aftermarket unit had an amplifier or controller fail, that would blow the fuse. Then because the circuit is now not working, the new fuse powers only part of the radio, but not the amplifier so you get no sound. The repair will be to replace the failed stereo you installed. Or find some shop that could test and repair it (which would probably cost more than a replacement unit).
