Crank but no start I just recently changed my fuel pump about 1 year ago. Then I had problems with the starter. Tested that and it was the solenoid that was bad so replaced that. Hooked starter back up and now im not getting fuel. Crank but no start. After checking all of the fuses and the relay found out im not getting power from the relay to the fuel pump. Not sure where to go next. Maybe missing a ground or could the solonoid be pulling too much power? Thank you for any help in this matter.

Hi,

When you say there is no power from the relay to the pump, how was that tested?

If you haven't already, confirm the ECM B fuse in the under-hood fuse box is good and has power to and from it. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Next, at the relay, you should have power (12v) at the orange wire, pin 87. Pin 85 (dark green wire with a white tracer) should get voltage when the key is on or in the start position. Note that this may not be constant power. You will need someone to turn the key on when you check.

If both have power, the gray wire, pin 30, should have 12v out to the fuel pump. Confirm that as well.

If you have power in on both wires and nothing out, check the black wire with a white tracer near the thermostat housing for damage. That is the ground wire.

I attached schematics below.

Let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
