No heat, hoses look to be good?

The thermostat only opens at 190f so the lower hose should be about 150f, if not you must have gotten a defective thermostat.

Thanks for all the feedback, Ken. I invested in one of those RF thermometers, so I'll test the hose temperatures with it one of these days. Since the weather is starting to break, I'm likely going to leave things as they are--mechanically--until I have more time to work on it. It's frustrating to think that a new t-stat is defective, but I've also read in some online sources that guys have had to put in 3 different t-stats before getting one that worked. In the end, I hope that's all it is I'm just not looking forward to doing the same repair a second time in a one-month span!
