Hello. The ABS light is on, the EBCM unit is not communicating. They changed the right front sensor, because the old one broke. Then an error appeared. I installed a new sensor, and the light is on. What can be done?

Hi,

There can be a lot of things causing the light to be on. If the ECBM is not communicating, it could be bad or there could be a wiring issue in the can-bus.

What code or codes are you retrieving when scanning the vehicle? If you haven't scanned the can-bus, that needs to be done. Here is a link explaining how it's done:

I attached two pics below of the wiring schematic related to the ECBM. Make sure the fuses are good and have power to and from them. Here is a link you may find helpful:

Also, there are two options for this vehicle. An RPO number indicates a regular production option. I need to know if this has a "JL4" RPO or not. The schematic below is without. The RPO label can usually be found in the glove box.

Let me know. Also, let me know if there are codes.

Take care,

Joe

See pics below. Note: Pics 1 and 2 are from the same page. I had to cut it in half to make it readable. Pic 3 shows the fuses in the under-hood fuse box to check.
