So after a week or so of sometimes wanting to start only after three dash lights would come on top even start it and other times no id have to keep trying to until it stayed with the dash lights on however after another day nothing won't start and no dash lights after that my husband took out the ignition switch and circuit board a few times trying to check everything's and clean it and put everything back and afterwards now still nothing except now the theft light flashes and nothing starting and now the actually key fob I have doesn't work to open doors trunk and or to stay so I tried plugging up mybobd scanner and to check any guides before nothing while it was sometimes doing this and nothing came up however now when plugged in it doesn't come on anymore said there's someone won't with my plug so I'm not sure if it's something to do with the electricity or what I'm so confused and one more thing to know my husband was checking on things a day ago and was testing it by putting his honey into the key hole and putting the key fob close to it while that to have it read that it's they're and it actually started with just good finger and the key fob the ring of the ignition switch so I help had to know where to start to fix because it's going to get towed sooner I can't move it please help please I thought possibly it might need to be reprogrammed again but I called the dealership and they it wouldn't just stop and renewed to regram basically it wouldn't just lose the program it already had by what's going on but who knows what should I do hopefully someone could please help me or give me advice.

Sure, I can help, if would be better if I have a short video to look at of what the car is doing, you can upload it here in your response. I would start by making sure the battery is good and the connections at the battery are clean and secure as well, this guide can help:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/everything-goes-dead-when-engine-is-cranked

If this is not the problem I have seen the wiring less ignition node or the TIPM, I see the TIPM powers the data link connector so I would start there, please check the wht/lt blu wire at the data link connector for power this guide can help (key on).

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

If there is no power replace the TIPM which is easy because it-self learns so there is no programming. Here is the location and a video to help with the data link issue.

You can get a used TIPM from eBay FYI. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Sorry it took forever I finally got one to upload after trying several times anyhow sorry for the bad video however like I explained in the video no lights only flickers on and of and my electric seats work and mirrors my husband and what's were tho is when I push with my foot the brake pedal that's when the lights actually come on and flicker only when the pedal is pushed in and or the headlight are on and sometimes it also does it too when I turn the high beams on so that's why I'm very confused on this whole thing so wi to h this added into so you soon think it's what you said before or anyway you possibly think it could be something to do with just getting a new key or key fob reprogrammed for to member me saying all of a sudden when this all happen my keyfob also stopped being able to unlock the card doors and no button on the key fob work anymore.

Hi Amber,

This looks like a classic dead battery. I would have that checked first and if okay replace the TIPM. Thanks for the video, it helps.

Hmm, usually the TIPM will fix it. At this point we need to do a CAN scan to see what codes are present, can I ask if the car has had water damage? The TIPM does not need programming, it self learns. In the video, when the lights go out are you trying to start the engine when this happens? Can you please upload an image of you battery and terminals?

Sorry it's been quite awhile replying due to trying everything to get this dang car working again and trying not to get it towed being hard to work on it being on a busy side road where they want to keep trying to tow but hard to work on it being there and can't drive to a shop since it won't start anyhow, I keep trying to upload the pictures of my battery but still having the issues on uploading but I'll keep trying and also at this point I'm really now going towards the "BCM (body control module) like you originally told me that you thought it was after checking that the battery was fine and then told me to then check and replace the tipm(fuse box) which I did next after still not working checked most didn't finish yet but most of the wiring following all the way around including the grounds and all working basically leading to and from the ignition switch and the radio due to that not working either but again rechecked the whole ignition switch that member I told you I replaced due to that being out and that was fine so after long and hard trial and errors and still in the same boat basically and frustrated we have came to an agreement that we believe and almost 85 percent guarantee it would be now the original things you said at the bring to check which don't ask why I didn't do that or actually really what it was I think was that I and even still get frustrated and put this all done after alhours of not going anywhere with it sitting in the same position and nothing changed is really what the deal was but I am here again and need to check and really just replace the BCM so please I know I over explain everything I'm sorry for wasting your time I'm rude with my writing :'( so let me wrap this reply up with just asking for you to please let me know two things where I can possibly get any video or pictures somewhere in location of where to find the "BCM" again nu car 2008 Chrysler 300 since I'm not able to find much on you tube on the location I keep reading things stating it's under the steering column area by the break pedal however I really don't see it or some day on the passenger side or even some in the trunk but again need for sure and possibly show me video/picture if possible and or really how to take out and replace and if I do this I most likely will get it used so need to know if afterwards I will need to reprogram it to my theft system and key fob cus member I told you also this has all caused my keyfob that used to work has now completely stopped working and doesn't unlock or open the trunk anymore so question would after fixing that would it also fix that the keyfob? And lastly, I also can't find anywhere online or you tube where I can find any diagrams that has wiring layout or where I can see how the correct wiring should look basically in all major wiring areas if that makes any sense or I'll say line this in any are of the car that you would think could be effected by what is going on? So I can check through not all wires and waste time but rather only the wiring that really needs to be checked. And again about the picture still of the battery I haven't forgot like I stated above somewhere in this bible I wrote(again don't hate me, I do apologize) however the phone isn't me to upload it on e again but I am not giving up I'll keep trying even tho I believe that's fine. Thanks so much for staying with me to help before this car drives me to go crazy over all this! Lol
