No crank ignition and starter relay location

Hello, I have a TSI 2.0L Wolfsburg Edition. I'm having an issue with my car having a no crank situation. The car starts if you jump the starter, so that indicates to me that I have compression, fuel, and spark (right?). Anyway, with that I assume it's an electrical issue with the signal not reaching the starter but I cannot find the relays. I want to see if the ignition relay and the starter relay are okay, but I do not know where their location is. Can you please assist me with that? Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

This is a complicated starting circuit. There are a few components that could be the problem here so I will list them all and then we will have to go down the list until we have a winner. Okay, it looks to me like the components probably are the vehicle electrical system control module, steering column electronic systems control module, ignition starter switch, and the power supply relay.

Since this is what you were asking about and it is probably going to be the easiest to test, and it is at one end of the circuit(we will just work our way backwards towards the fuse), let's start with the power supply relay. I have included all the information you will need in the diagrams down below. Please go through it and get back to us with what you find out. Hello, I'm the one with the 2008 vw jetta tsi 2.0L 4 cyl Wolfsburg Edition. I sent a message before regarding the car not cranking. Since the car was able to start if the starter is jumped, so I boiled it down to something in the ignition system or nuetral safety switch. More leaning to a neutral safety switch (or the wiring to and from it), as I've found out that I can start the car everytime without delay or issue when shifted into neutral. Is that a fair assessment? With that being said, I dont have ANY IDEA where the NSS switch is located or how to change it. Can you send me some diagrams and/or links to videos as to where it would be located on this car, how to check it physically and electronically, and how to replace it if need be? Any insight into resolving my dilemna would be greatly appreciated.
