A/C not working

My car listed above (VR6 4Motion) is not getting any power to part of the fuse box on the driver's side beneath the steering wheel. My A/C is getting no power, I know that it's not the blower or anything because when I "bench test" the fuse box (took insulated copper wire and "powered" the fuse) it was working. What am I missing?

When you say it is not getting power to half the fuse block, do you mean that some of the fuses have power on both sides of the fuse but then others don't?

Here is a guide that will help with checking fuses, so we need to know if you are getting power on both sides of all the fuses:

If you are not, then we have an issue on the fuse block circuit board that is not passing the power to all fuses.

However, this issue is very rare so can you confirm this is what you mean before we go any further?

Hey Kenny,

So, I've narrowed it down.

The fuse that is not getting power is the fuse that is supposed to turn my motor blower on/off just that one, fuse #38 on the schematic. With external power applied to the fuse the blower works. I'm thinking maybe a relay. I'm just not sure which one.

I scanned the HVAC system and there was a code: B10A115. However, I just replaced the blower and resistor, so I'm confused on why it's calling that out.

The car is a 2010 VW CC 3.6L 4 Motion.

That is great. There is actually a tech tip from VW that will help point us in the right direction and will explain this.

As for not getting power to the fuse, I suspect that is normal due to this issue or an issue with the load reduction relay.

If you look at the wiring diagram you will see that this fuse is only hot when the relay is energized.

So, let's check these connections and make sure we don't have an issue with an open circuit and if you don't then we need to go to this relay and check its operation.
