2000 Other Nissan Models Engine overhead

I am driving Nissan Maxima 2000, mileage 200000, few day's before I had a leak from hose pipe, found over heat I drive some then stop the car filled the water, now after that incidence my car over heating when ever I am stooping car on traffic signals and coming to normal heat when I am driving fast or on highway.

If you suggest me a good solution I will be very thankful.

Hi there,

Check that the cooling fans are turning on, I feel that they may not be and the extra cooling air forced into the radiator when driving at sped keeps the engine cool, look here first.
