Battery drained, tried to boost and the NATS security system will not allow vehicle to start.
Are there steps I can do in my garage vs towing to dealership to have them reset it?
I have read that I can possibly reset by disconnecting negative battery cable and reconnecting.

What does the security light do when you turn the key to the "on" position?
When you turn the key to start what happens both with the light and the starter?

Just flashes. When I turn the key the security light continues to flash and nothing happens with the starter.

Okay, if it just keeps flashing the NATS system does not recognize the key you have. Do you have more than one key? If it flashes with both the issue is possibly the receiver/amp. It may be possible to reinitialize the keys but you need a factory scan tool to allow access to that system.

These systems start to age and do all kinds of strange things. The newer vehicles that have everything run by the computer are going to be very interesting in 5-10 years. There are a multitude of parts for vehicles that are only 5-8 years old that are no longer available new from the manufacturers. Almost time to buy 3 identical vehicles just to have parts available.
