Drains the battery dead. Pulled positive battery cable off keeps running new battery in it. Belt tight.I was wandering if it could be the regulator and where it is. Its on a 91 Nissan pickup 2wheele drive 4cylinder

Could be the internal voltage regulator in the alternator not controlling the voltages causing it to overcharged the battery or the battery is sulfated-or a short circuit somewhere draining the battery overnite
