Installed a new starter on and still no sound?

I put new starter on and still no sound.

Hi,

There are a few things that I'm questioning. First, there is a fusible link (link C) that powers the trigger wire on the starter. So, here is what I need you to do:

First, see if it starts in neutral just so we can eliminate the neutral safety switch.

If there is no change, then we need to check for power at the purple wire at the starter motor. The purple wire is the trigger wire. It will get 12v only when the key is in the start position, so you will need a helper.

Check that for power and let me know what you find. Also, here is a link you may find helpful:

See pics below. Pic 3 shows the starter relay location. The fusible link wire will be red. The link itself is gray.
