I have the car listed above that doesn’t want to start. I was driving on the highway when it overheated and shut off. I had put coolant inside of it, and let it cool down. It didn’t want to start. My stepdad said maybe the battery had died while I had the hazard lights on and the key in the ignition. So I had got a jump and it did charge the battery but however it still didn’t want to start. It sounds like it trying to turn over but it won’t start. I made sure to check my oil and other fluids as well. Everything was all good, it just doesn’t want to start. I am not sure what to do if, because I am not really a car person. If someone could give me some insight or something that would be awesome.

Hi,

I would suggest you start with a compression test. Your engine needs compression, spark and fuel at the right time in order to start. I suspect you don't have compression. If the engine overheated and shut itself off, more than likely the head is warped causing a loss of compression.

Attached is a guide that walks you through how to perform this test. Let's confirm we are working with a good compression engine and then we can more onto fuel and spark. Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
