My vehicle has been sitting for a while. It cranks fine I have no catalytic converters. Got it to move forward but super slow, then it stopped moving all together. It just idled for a while then shut off. I think It shut off do to a bad battery, but need to know why it won't move or moving slowly.

Hi,

This issue could be caused by a battery issue but once started the battery doesn't have much to do with the running of the vehicle. The alternator powers the systems but the battery smooths out the voltage spikes and valleys.

The best thing to do is get a good battery in it and then check codes that are in the vehicle. If you don't have a scanner, then most parts stores can pull them free of charge.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
