Checked gas and spark okay. Checked battery ground it was loose, tightened bolt started right up. However, a few days later same thing. So what do I check now?

Good evening,

I would go back to the bolt. Remove it from the battery cable and clean both sides. It sounds like you have corrosion at the connection.

It sounds like your talking about top post my battery is side post and was actually very clean the negative bolt a little loose. When I tightened it it started right up, but in a few days would not start again. So what do I check now?

I am talking about the side post battery. The bolt comes out of the cable and the part that gets dirty or corroded and needs to be wire brushed until clean.

Okay.

Did you recheck the engine ground or the battery cable ground to the block?

Remove it and wire brush it clean on both side. If there is a small wire from the post to the fender, clean that as well.
