2001 Mitsubishi Galant Just stopped running

I was dropping my daughter off and it just stopped running. It had been running great. It didn't make any sounds, didn't have any abnormal smells. Just stopped running and then would not start. Got a full tank of gas. I am thinking maybe my fuel pump went out or my timing chain but really I don't know any help would be greatly appreciated

Check the timing belt, and check for ignition, (spark) fuel pressure, injection pulse. Check for any fault codes but I would be checking for a failed timing belt first.
