2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse engin got hot

Daughters car over heated going down freeway, car died I got car home will not start I checked compression and its low and it is shooting water out of two cyclinders but no water in oil. I am wandering weather to replace the Head or replace engin and why Thanks.

What can happen. Not enough coolant causing the engine to get too hot. It causes internal damage in the engine. It may be junk now. You still may have a chance so dont give up just yet.
