I can be driving at any speed, when I reach a stop sign or red light and reach the end of my stop, I will get some vibrations and it acts like my transmission gets stuck. The vibration usually last about a second; what I usually do is release the break until you can tell the gear picks up again and I can drive again. My car is also making a weird noise every time I put it in drive or reverse, does all this add up to a transmission problem? It gives me no problems while driving.

Hi there,

Thank you for the donation,

From what you are describing, I would be thinking that it is a sticky valve in the valve body, a transmission service would be a good place to start, but get it done by a trans specialist as they will be able to pick up on any small problem that may need attention.

Thanks for the reply,

One last thing, don't know if it changes anything but my car has also been turning off very rarely at the end of my stop but with no vibrations.

Thanks again,
R.

OK, this may or may not be related, I would run a scan and check for a TTC fault code, (torque converter clutch) they should do this with the trans service.
