I was driving home the other day, when unknown to me my upper radiator hose popped off, after I guess a few minutes my check engine light came on, I started to pull off the road when my car just stopped running, I let it cool down added new antifreeze to it and reattached the hose, but now it wont start, I checked to make sure it was getting spark to the plugs and it does now I dont know what else to check to see what is wrong, any ideas or is my cars engine done?

Hi mccuer,

You might have blown the gaskets. Pour some engine oil down each plug hole and crank for a while.

Install the plugs and try starting, you might still be able to limp home if it starts, if not the engine is done.

However if you can get the car running, you would still have to check for a blown gasket.

Good luck.
