Missing a fuel part

I have this missing fuel part. I came to know from the traffic authorities as they will not allow me to drive the car when I went for inspection of car.
i have no idea what the part name is and what is it used for and I am not able to attach picture. It connected from fuel tank under the fuel filling lid.
wish if I can attach the picture.

Do you have a gas cap on the fill neck?

This is the part I think it is connected from canister.

seems to be connected with the canister

This looks like the vent solenoid. It does attach to the the canister.
