2002 Hyundai Sonata gas tank

When I try putting gas in my tank, it will only fill a few cents at a time, which makes it impossible to fill up, I have tried taking the gas nozzle out and slowly putting it back into tank. This just recently started, any idea what could be the problem?

There is a breather that runs from the fuel tank to the top of the filler tube. It allows air to exit the tank as it fills with gas. Check it to make sure it isn't damaged or plugged in any way.
